We're excited to announce that we'll be returning to the Red, White and Blue Ash celebration this year!! The bash is July 4th, 2026 from 4pm - 10:30pm at Summit Park!
This event features live music all day (featuring Switchfoot), activities, food and beverage booths and an amazing fireworks display at night (by Arthur Rozzi pyrotechnics)!
This event helps nonprofits like ours raise critical funds to continue our goal of saving, rehabilitating and adopting out animals with special needs and medical conditions!

We were privileged to be a part of a huge spay and neuter clinic for stray cats in the Dayton area!
The event featured the veterinary staff from SICSA, Veterinarians and medical team from the Spay Slayers, vet students from The Ohio State University, and dozens of volunteers to help control the pet population in our local area.
All together, 227 cats were spayed and neutered that day!
We're proud to announce that we've expanded our adoption location partners to include Rural King, PetSmart and more!

After a lengthy back-and-forth with our shelter database software AND their preferred 3rd party payment provider, we've FINALLY resolved an issue causing us to not update our website for quite some time.
The wait is over! Go check out our brand new Adoptables page where you will be able to see adoptable animals from our rescue IN REAL TIME. You are looking directly at our database of adoptable animals, and you'll see the new arrivals as soon as they're updated on our end!
It'll take us a bit of time to reconfigure everything, so we appreciate your patience and keep checking back!
Yes, you read that right! We're in the process of getting the fostering section of our rescue up and fully running!
Up to this point, we've only had Fosters for specific animals, for specific reasons. Whether that be a veterinary assistant fostering a cat who needs daily medication, or a nurse who is fostering one of our surgery patients during their recovery.
We want to expand that to as many of the animals in our rescue as we can, because without Fosters, we wouldn't be able to do what we do.
Once the final details are hammered out, we'll make sure to have a big announcement!

Please note that this is just to apply to adopt an animal. This is NOT an adoption contract.
We will review the application and if it's a good fit, we'll contact you to set up the actual adoption contract.
CH stands for cerebellar hypoplasia, a non-progressive neurological disorder in cats that affects their balance, coordination, and fine motor skills. It's also known as wobbly cat syndrome.
CH kittens are difficult to raise, but as adults, they can live long, happy, wobbly lives. Depending on the severity of their condition, CH cats could require very little additional assistance, all the way to life-long care.
CH cats and kittens are extremely unlikely to survive in the wild, but they are the absolute happiest cats in the world.
